From Bangkok
The closest major city to Lipe is Hat Yai. There are buses, planes, and trains running daily from Bangkok and other major cities. Two piers depart to koh Lipe, both piers are approximately 1.5 hours from Hat Yai. Pakbara offers a number of speedboat services year round. Satun's thammalang pier has a larger ferry boat service departing at 1pm daily during the high season only. This larger air conditioned service is great for small children and elderly.
From Malaysia
Several speedboat companies run direct to koh Lipe daily in just 1 Hour 15 minutes. An immigration office operates during the high season from November until late April on Lipe. If you are coming from Malaysia from may-october boats cross to thammalang pier in satun province where a year round immigration office operates year round.
